Helmet Design 52 – Arai Race Helmet

HELMET DESIGN 52

Helmet Design 52 is an Arai race helmet for Ken Knight, the second helmet I have done for him. Ken races vintage race cars and like the first helmet I did for him wanted sort of a simple throwback helmet design theme. The chess piece on the side of the helmet stands for his last name and his blood type is in small lettering on back of the helmet. I painted and installed the Arai PED kit to the back of the helmet to finish off the design. Three coats of clear where applied than color sanded and polished to a  and nice glossy finish.
