This is a Simpson race helmet I’m working on. Working designs out in photoshop, illustrator is great and on certain projects using that technique works out great. Essentially you are than forcing a design done on flat surface within photoshop, illustrator onto the helmet. This works pout great in most case’s but in many it looks like a sterile robot created design. I prefer to create my designs more organically right on the helmet taking into consideration input from the customer. I take what the helmet will give me as far as the way the design flows ending up with a design that fits the helmet more organically that a computer created design fits.
